More activity on QR codes for wikipedia

The suggestion of using QR codes to link to wikipedia articles has been around for a while. They provide a solution to providing people with the wikipedia article they want even when they are not quite sure what to search for. I don’t know who suggested it first but I suggested a way of using QR codes in 2009

Then in February this year some people at derby museum just went and did it. Pics at:

This is now being developed further with an attempt to solve the problem of making sure the article appears in the right language. How it works is going to be announced at the “Backstage Pass tour” at Derby Museum on Saturday 9th April, 2011:
